Jason Lewis and his fiancé Melisa Geleott founded I.M.C. Ranch with the mission of giving people of all walks of life, the opportunity to enjoy the great outdoors.
Hunting and being outdoors is what brought them together from the very start. Now, ten years later, they're seeking to do the very same with individuals who may not be as capable of experiencing what sometimes, we all might take for granted.
Jason grew up in Chicago Heights, IL and began hunting with his father from the age of 10 years old. If it wasn't for his father's passion for hunting and the outdoors, things may not have looked the same for him growing up. Having a hunting camp that was available for him to escape to, truly made a positive impact on him. He's now an official Western Big Game Hunting Guide with 30+ years of hunting experience under his belt. He can't wait to begin sharing his love with the outdoors to others in need!
Melisa grew up in Phoenix, AZ and began bird hunting and fishing with her father at a young age. She's always loved being outdoors and experiencing nature. She loves that she's able to share her passion with Jason and have the opportunity to show others the beauty of the outdoors. There's nothing more peaceful for her than sitting in her tree stand or blind and listening to nature around her, letting go of outside distractions or thoughts and just being present in the moment.
The fresh smell of pine trees, a swim in a natural lake or stream, observing the stars while in the darkness of the wilderness and enjoying a campfire with friends and family. These are things that many of us take for granted today in America. Sadly, the beauty, peace and serenity of the great outdoors are not accessible to everyone.
I.M.C. Ranch was founded with a mission, to give people of all walks of life, the opportunity to enjoy the great outdoors.
Through professionally guided outdoor adventures such as Hunting, Fishing and Camping, I.M.C. Ranch will strive to INSPIRE those we can through fun and genuine interactions within the great outdoors, MOTIVATE those we can with love and positive reinforcement and help CHANGE as many lives as we can along the way.
According to the Children’s Defense Fund, children remain the poorest age group in America. “Nearly 1 in 6 lived in poverty in 2018—nearly 11.9 million children. The child poverty rate (16 percent) is nearly one-and-a-half times higher than that for adults ages 18-64 (11 percent) and two times higher than that for adults 65 and older (10 percent). Children are considered poor if they live in a family with an annual income below the Federal Poverty Line of $25,701 for a family of four, which amounts to less than $2,142 a month, $494 a week or $70 a day.”
There are at least 12million adults and 400thousand children currently living with serious illness such as, cancer, heart disease, kidney disease or dementia. (Center to Advanced Palliative Care).
22 veterans a day commit suicide. 30% of vets have disabilities as a result of their service. 13-20% are diagnosed with PTSD. 22% are diagnosed with a depressive disorder as well. (IAVA, George W. Bush Institute, Syracuse University’s Institute for veterans and Military Families, VA and DAV).
Your generous support and kindness mean so much to us here at I.M.C. Ranch. A sincere and heartfelt "Thank You!" to everyone to who has or will donate to help making access to the great outdoors possible for those who may not have had the opportunity otherwise.
INSPIRE. MOTIVATE. CHANGE.
